Exhale Babysitting is a company that provides baby-sitting services to families that have children with special needs and/or disabilities. We are passionate about providing services that lessen the stress on families with children who have special needs and give them an opportunity to complete errands, have a date night or travel as any other parent with typically developing children would. We want to provide quality services where parents feel safe leaving their child with experienced and qualified sitters. Our hope is that your child has such a great time that they look forward to every opportunity to have a sitter come over and that parents are so at peace while they are gone, they consistently seek out our companies services.
Hi I’m Kayla! I’m a Jacksonville native and a dog mom of 1 Gabriella, but her friends call her Gabby! I love Children and I love the light and joy they bring to my life. I have been working with children with developmental disabilities for 8 years in a variety of places and roles. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and I have a masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I’m currently pursuing my master in Speech Language Pathology.
During undergrad I worked as a babysitter and a nanny mostly with families whose children had special needs. In that role and in my professional career as a BCBA I noticed that so many of these families were stressed and had very little time to enjoy date nights, holiday parties as they struggled with finding child care. These experiences led me to work with my colleague and friend Tavy to create EBC. I truly hope that your family is able to relax, find peace and exhale when your child is in our care and most of all that your child has the time of their life!
Hi! I’m Tavy and I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. I am the oldest of six kids and my favorite human being in the whole wide world is my little brother who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3. As an adult, I reflect on the challenges my mom faced with a family of six and having a child with disabilities. Especially in a time where there was limited help. This inspired my path to earn a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I have worked professionally with children on the autism spectrum since 2014. When Kayla presented the idea of EBC to me, I knew right away I needed to be apart of this. Creating Exhale Babysitting Company (EBC) is my way of giving back and provided an avenue for families to receive support that my family didn’t have access to. My ultimate goal is for families with children with disabilities to not feel like they are not completely alone and that EBC is a company they can count on.
